Main floor renovation of a cheaply renovated 90s-era home.
A flip of a flip. The previous owners of this 90s-era house had already renovated it, but cheap materials and hastily installed finishes left the main floor feeling disconnected and impractical.
We replaced four different flooring types with bourbon-colored bamboo hardwood that visually connected the main living spaces. The walls were painted a soft off-white to add warmth and brighten the interiors, while white-painted cabinets and updated light fixtures gave the kitchen and dining areas a more contemporary feel.
Finally, the original stair banister was replaced with custom Shaker-style handrails and shiplap siding, transforming a mundane foyer hallway into a focal point and tying the entry into the rest of the renovation.
